Somebun overslept for Halloween

What?!! Halloween is over already?!!

Cotton Got Mail!

One day, Uncle Hub opened the letterbox as usual and he got a shocked in his life! Cotton got mail ?!!! 

How can that be???

It's true! He got mail! 

He sure has plenty of secret admirers as his penpal. Hahaha 

Changing Floor Mat

Enchanted Cottage Contest

Recently things have been not going well for me with many not good news. Then I stumbled a contest and decided to give a try and create a new atmosphere for my fur kids.

It's the Enchanted Cottage Contest organized by ecottage.

So I bought the Ecottage setup for the contest. They delivered pretty promptly and setting it up is pretty easy to do.

Ta-da! It was setup within minutes. Ok now time to decor the ecottage! 

And Cotton gave a pissed off face when placing him at Level 2. Hahahaha

Cotton To Work!

Brought Cotton to work as I be bringing him for a bunny Lou-Hay gathering after work.

Meanwhile, he was at a drawer until I knock off.

He's such an obedient bun and did not hop out. Smooch Cotton!!!

Charcoal Mask?

The picture on the tube reminds me we can look like a black silver marten when on a black mask! Hahahahah

Charcoal Girl Is Home!

Charcoal is home safely from her recuperating for post opt surgical care at Little Bobtail Resort.

When she was transported home (I paid S$10 for the transport service) at night, I gave her a good chest hugged and stroked her for 5mins. She's pretty apprensive that she's home and her human misses her a lot.  

And she showed us her butt still. :S At least she is feeling relax being back at home. 

After about a week of her surgery, I also gave her a cat collar to say: Charcoal girl belongs to our family! Ain't she's a cutie pie? 

Then I also moved her cage next to Cotton's pen. On her 2nd day residing next to him, she also showed signs of relax with her stretched legs! 

And they also began to exhibit similar timing activities! 

It's a good sign! At least they no longer Wing Chun (kungfu) together. I am also taking the chance to do some background work (ie exchanging their poops into their litter boxes) so they can have easier time to bond when board at LBR.

Pray For Charcoal To Be Home Safely

Tonight is a busy night for me because there are 4 furry kids' toilet waiting for me to clean and preparing for Charcoal for her clinic ultrasound scan and possibly sterilization operation. 

She seems relaxed and not too bothered about what's going to happen to her tomorrow. 

In any way, I just made her a poster. :)

We did not go back to Point Vet Clinic because they do not offer ultrasound service. Apparently, Charcoal will be sedated during ultrasound scan and hence if she is found to be intact, then a surgery will be performed instantly so she does not need to be sedated twice.

On the morning of her ultrasound checkup, she saw she gets 36 well-wishers' likes at Facebook.

On the 29th Jan evening, me and Uncle Hubby went down to Vet@RV clinic to discharge Charcoal girl and meet the doc as well. However, we were there early and had to wait for the clinic to re-open at 8pm sharp. 

When we finally entered the clinic, we were debriefed by the vet nurse instead on the usage of the antibiotic, pain killer and GI protecting drugs. As I have already arranged for a post-opt boarding service for Charcoal for 3 days, hence, I did not pay much attention on the drug dosage dispensary advices. I was also anxious to see how's Charcoal doing as well. When they brought her out, they showed me her incision wound. It was a small incision.

 

The vet nurse further showed us her uterus removed and explained that her uterus was rather enlarged in size compared to a normal doe. They suspected the enlargement could likely due to an infection. In addition, a cyst was found in one of her ovaries.

While waiting for the boarder to arrive to take her for her post-opt care, I took the chance to stroke her more. Again, she was pretty docile and quiet in the carrier.

 

On the first night of her boarding, the boarder updated me via messenger on her condition. Albeit she was eating little amount of hays and did not touch the veggies and pellets, no poops was seen.

 

The same situation persisted to the following day. She was also constantly being syringe feed with Critical Care in every 2 hourly in the meantime. The boarder is meticulous in rabbit care and boarding, hence, I have little questions for her during the conversation. However, the no poops situation persisted on the 3rd night and hence, the boarder gotten a fresh supply of the gut stimulator drug from vet clinic and sought my consent prior to feeding her. Then on the following morning, poops surfaced!

However, to be more certain that she will recover faster and be checking out on 01-Feb, I brought her personal litter box, toy and a piece of my clothing. Look how much she likes her toy. Charcoal girl also did something that amused me - she was munching a barley biscuit treats from me, however, when a friend of mine extended her hand with the same treat near her, she would stop chewing. When her hand pulled away, she would chew again. This repeated a few times. Unfazed by this friend's claim (who also adopted a Black Silver Marten but is a buck) that Black Silver Marten are capable to identify their owners and less trusting personality, I extended my hand with the treat again and she indeed continued to chew and took the treat from my hand. Amazing rabbit since I have her for merely 2 weeks!

On the 3rd night at the boarder place, Charcoal girl indeed hopped to her litter box and munched her hays. This is also to reinforce her litter training effort.

Since she can now eats on her own, poops and pee, the boarder safely able to release her back home tomorrow. Woo-hoo!!!
