I was so inspired by one of the mutual bunny parent's post on her grooming kit that I too want to share mine. Hahahahaha
- Apron
- Towel
- A pair of sleeve guards
- Facial mask
- Cornstarch
- A squeeze bottle of water
- Cotton buds (cleaning their anus and urine tract outer)
- Small plastic bag (to contain removed furs)
- Scissors
- Thinning scissors
- Slicker brush
- Flea combs (various sizes for different grips)
- Nail clipper
- Nail filer
- Tissue paper
- Torch light (nail clipping)
- Mini dustpan
- Lint remover roller (Saviour! Must-have)

For hygiene reason, I have different set of scissors, thinning scissors, towel and flea combs for Cotton and Koogle from the volunteer work.

Public Holiday walk-walk

Bringing the boys to walk-walk and Cotton was very active today. He hopped more than the previous round of walk-walk. The humans were exhausted following him. I have never seen him that active by hopping non-stop for at least 30mins!

After 45mins of exploring around, Cotton rested and he was also cooperative by remaining at rested position when Uncle Hubby was removing his leash from his harness.

He also did not put up much struggle when I cleaned his 4s paws.

Here are some videos of their walk-walk:

Enjoy!

Praying for Blessing

This morning, I went to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple to seek some blessing from the high priest for my little Mi-yeon so that she could be reincarnated into a better family in her next life.

Daiso shopping again!!!

I happened to walk past Daiso (I swear it's really stumbled by chance) today after the temple praying in the morning so I took the chance to walk around.

I spent again more items for my furkids more than for myself or Uncle Hubby. Hahahaha check it out what I bought:

A large scoop: for ease of scooping out the bedding litter and lesser time of scooping. Previously, I was using their treat bowls and I need to scoop several times and had to bend over.

A small container bucket with cover: it's just right to contain NS pellets of 1.8 kg! The cover will keep the pellets for minimal oxidation or moisture.

I saw a cute measuring cup for pets. How can I not buy it? Now I can accurately measure how much of pellets given to them daily. How clever!

I have also bought 2 soft fur mat for Cotton's bed. It's a little oversized but I think is still usable.

I also bought items like mini dustpan since the existing ones' bristles is wearing out and another cat repellent mat as spare. Total spending $18!

Thank you Uncle Hubby for the sponsorship! Hahhahaha

Water Bowl Innovation

I found another gem at Daiso today - water bowl base!

Simply attach a plastic mineral bottle on it and you're done! Let's try out!

Get a plastic mineral bottle and cut off any plastic rim ring if needed.

Then attach the filled bottle onto the water base.

And you're done! As easy as ABC. The screw tightness between the mineral bottle and base is not very tight kind but is tight and stable enough in overall.

The base is quite deep and diameter is quite big so make sure you do your measurement.

I have also tried 2 other types of water bowls - pink and blue.

Pink: Plastic mouth is too small and thus making cleaning of internal bottle tough. The good thing is it can be screwed tightly and hence picking up the water bowl with the bottle is safe. Price: $10

Blue: Cleaning of the internal plastic is easy and convenient. The downside is picking up the setup at the bottle very likely resulted in spillage as it easily gives way. The locking mechanism is not as good as Pink version. Price: $8

I thought if you want to try out if water bowl setup is feasible for you, you can try the Daiso one ($2) prior to investing a water bowl of larger capacity.

Enjoy trying!

I Love Clothes Pegs!

One of the best inventions that's cheap, outlast its original purpose and widely available - introducing Clothes Pegs!

I have been using the pegs to secure many of my bunnies' setup and here are some of the examples:

The mesh tray is a little bigger than the pee tray so fitting wise is not good and risky if bunny jumps onto it and gives way. The peg is used for 2 purposes: to secure the entire litter setup to one corner so my bunny won't able to move it and balance the mesh tray to sit nicely above the collector tray.

Pegs are used to secure the food metal bowls to its metal frame so that Koogle won't able to flip the bowl. Below the food bowl is the hay rack. Again, same purpose - secure to the litter tray so that Koogle will not able to move it when he is digging to eat his hays.

Pegs are used to secure again for bunny proofing in the house.

It's also convenient to remove them for cleaning or rearranging without damaging to wallet or existing home/playpen/cage structure.

However, I know some people use pegs to lock their playpen but my bunny still is able to break free if he wants to. It's best to get proper connectors ($2 for 10) for this case.

Who's the boss?

Dear Blogspot,

What's wrong with my humans???

When they decided to adopt my sidekick, I wasn't even consulted. Fine, what's done cannot be undone. So I decided to play nice and within 3-4 days of bonding with him, I started to kiss him. That ingrate sidekick never kiss me back....not even once yet.

Fine, I cannot force a kiss from sidekick, can I? Mummy even tried once to trick sidekick to kiss me by applying some sweet syrup on my head and hugged us upright tightly at her chest. Sidekick did lick my head but that's because of the sweet syrup, not me and so mummy aborted the act.

Then sidekick got to free roam just like I did and he stray peed. His stray pee condition continued for next few days and angered mummy who locked him up at cage for a day. I thought he be locked forever but alas, he was released the following day. Then now he stopped stray peeing last night and made mummy so happy that she letting us both free roam at daytime too.

Sidekick has seriously no idea that all the areas in this house belongs to me, me and just me. Whenever he attempted to hop into any bedroom, I'll chase him out Hahahahhaha and he will hop back to the living room. I only allow him to roam just the living room for now.

This morning, he daringly hopped into the master bedroom to my favorite resting spot to explore. I chased him out instantly and guarded at the doorstep.

He then hopped back to our playpen and rested where he's supposed to. Hahahahah mummy and daddy have no worries about free roaming me and sidekick as I overheard them saying I'll monitor him. That's true but to have sidekick always in my line of sight means I'll not able to rest or sleep in peace.

I be always watching sidekick....always at his back. Humans are clever ain't they? They leave the 'dirty' job of supervising to me while they at work or at sleep. Now I'm empowered to supervise sidekick, I'm the real boss. Hahahahaha

Evil smiling,
Cotton
